Food and Nutrition in DDHA

Professionally Equipped Kitchen

At the heart of each Boarding House at DDHA lies its dining hall. In DDHA, atmosphere of familial intimacy is maintained. The pupils have time to enjoy their food and to communicate with one another and with other Houses’ guests. Each House is served by a professionally equipped kitchen which is staffed with trained chefs who mastermind the delivery of their meals to all pupils who live in the House.

The House dining system underpins the approach to catering as a whole as we provide meals in what is very much an extended family environment.

Our goal is to provide boarders with meals that are nutritious, varied and enjoyable. Using locally and ethically produced food, we balance this with the feedback we get from pupils and their parents. Pure milk, vegetables, eggs and cereals provided for the mess from our own farm. Menus are planned by diet specialist.

Every endeavor is made to ensure that the individual requirements of the students are met as they would be at home by providing best food and nutrition in Dehradun.

We ensure that the students are offered the opportunity to try various cuisines, from Indian to Continental to Chinese to Mexican food.

Nutrition and Health

All the food at Dehradun Hills Academy School is prepared in our school kitchen by our expert catering team.  There is a gracious and orderly atmosphere pervading the dining hall as our students take their seats before meals, beginning with prayers.

Multi-Cuisine Menu

Our menu includes a variety of mouth watering dishes. North Indian, South Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisines, chats and pizza are followed by an elaborate spread of desserts. The food served is pure vegetarian sourced from different parts of the country and abroad.
