Dehradun Hills Academy has a professionally staffed and equipped health centre, which operates a 24-hour term time service run by Registered Nurses. A well known local Health Centre looks after pupils in a ‘holistic’ sense aiming where possible to promote good health and healthy lifestyles rather than dealing exclusively with ill health in a reactive sense. It provides a supportive and caring environment, which pupils may visit for guidance on all matters of health and well-being.
A doctor, appointed from the local practice, is present when ever needed to check each boarder. Pupils may be referred by the School doctor to specialist consultants according to their parents’ wishes. In addition, the School operates a Private Medical Scheme to which parents can enroll their son or daughter for the duration of his or her time of stay and study at DehraDun Hills Academy. In addition to this provision, each House has a Matron who is responsible to the Housemaster or Housemistress for the day-to-day health care of the House.
