To inculcate basic skills of fire safety among the students of DDHA, a fire safety workshop was organized by the school authorities. The students heard with rapt attention as experts lectured on the different types of fire and the means to control them. The three ingredients of any fire are oxygen, heat, and fuel. It came as a pleasant surprise to many when told that water was not always the best extinguisher of fire. A demonstration was held to show the students how to go about using the different types of equipment to control a fire when it breakouts. Our students also learned how to handle the various fire-fighting equipment. These hands-on experience would definitely serve them well in future emergencies.
