Waste Warriors is a voluntary organization which is committed to cleaning up India. Our goal is a cleaner India and we can all do something to help. It has to start with YOU and how you manage your waste. The team from Waste Warriors comprising of Ms. Divya and Ms. Manpreet conducted the program to sensitize children about Recycling. The event was held on 30th April and both Junior and Senior students participated in the event. Conservation is an important part of recycling issue and we at Dehradun Hills Academy realize the importance of the same and hence in subsequent workshop we want the children to learn about waste management, waste disposal etc.
When you think of recycling you should really think about the whole idea; reduce, reuse and recycle. Think about it; if you don’t need it, don’t get it. If you have to get it, get something that can be used again and if you get something that needs to be recycled by the professionals, put it in the recycle bin. When you produce less garbage it helps in reducing the landfills and also helps in giving the land back to the nature.
